The guide, written by Caroline Bielanska, is exclusive to SFE members and outlines the steps for solicitors to follow when taking a client through the process.

Caroline is a practising solicitor with over 30 years’ experience of advising older and vulnerable adults and recognised as a leading expert on the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and health and social care law. She said:

“The deputyship guide provides practical support, extending to over 140 pages and includes information guides and tools to assist members improve and streamline their application processes and work with families to better understand what it means to be a deputy.

“The guide includes a toolkit of templates, fact sheets and general guidance on Court of Protection Deputyships and is just one of the many benefits of being an SFE member.”
