Women in Wills celebrate with their final meeting of the year

The Women in Wills group joined together to meet for the final time this year to celebrate with a festive themed event.

The group, which has been growing in number throughout lockdown, shared some fun stories, heard some positive news stories from Emily Chalke of Ella’s charity, while enjoying a festive themed pet competition – and finished the event with a prize draw.

Some of the festive pets can be found below:

Karen Babington, chaired the final event of the year. She said:

“This group has offered continual support and reassurance at a time which was needed. In ‘normal’ times our Christmas get together would usually involve everyone meeting for a few glasses of fizz to celebrate the year. All of our other meetings have taken place virtually, so it’s only fitting our Christmas celebration would be hosted in the same way.

“It was great to see everyone getting involved, and spreading the Christmas cheer.

“I want to add a special thank you to our sponsors who have helped and supported us throughout this year.”

Throughout the year, Women in Wills, and it’s sister group, Women in Residential Property have been fundraising for the charity Ella’s, which help trafficked and sexually exploited women recover and rebuild their lives.
