National Paralegals Awards 2019 : The Search Is On To Find The Best Paralegals In The UK

These brand-new awards will recognise and reward the achievements of Paralegals across the UK.  There are 12 categories including Best Employment Paralegal, Best Local Authority Paralegal, Will Writing Organisation of the Year and Best Paralegal company.

Rita Leat, Managing Director of The Professional Paralegal Register who is hosting these new awards said ‘There are an estimated 100,000 plus Paralegals in the UK. The Paralegal Profession needs celebrating, not only because it is the fastest growing legal sector but because it has gone unrewarded for far too long. The achievements of Paralegals in law firms, companies, local authorities and the self-employed is outstanding and we want to reward this. These awards are open to all Paralegals not just those who are members of the PPR’.

Legal experts Mark Solon, Chairman from Wilmington Legal, Anthony Abrahams, Director General of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and Amir Ali MCICM, Chairman CCUA will part of the judging panel, along with Claire Smith, Head of Business Development, Moneypenny.

Mark Solon, Chairman from Wilmington Legal shared his view of this new initiative to celebrate the work of paralegals “As the law becomes more complex and expands into all areas of life, highly trained specialists in specific areas of practice will be essential. I am delighted to support the Awards as they acknowledge and reward excellence for paralegals. The future’s paralegal!”

Amir Ali MCICM, Chairman CCUA, shared these thoughts on judging these new awards ‘’I am very much looking forward to judging the National Paralegal Awards as Chairman of the Civil Court Users Association. Paralegals are the backbone of the legal sector and it is about time they were recognised for the vital role they play within the profession’’

Finalists and sponsors will gather together on 29th March 2019 for a black-tie gala final held at The Radisson Blu hotel in Bloomsbury to celebrate achievement and announce the winners of each category.

In addition the event will support and raise money for The Young Citizens, a charity who work to help young people become active, engaged and motivated citizens, who are able to contribute positively to their communities.
