Are you a sole proprietor or sole trader? Do you own your own business and employ a small number of people? Would you characterise yourself as a small-to-medium sized enterprise?
If this is the case, you are one of about 5 million SMEs around the UK currently trading. You may also be part of the 75% of businesses looking to grow and expand…the tricky question is how?
The Society of Will Writers will this year reach the age of 21. Over the last 21 years we have seen substantial growth – substantial when you consider that we began with 5 members and substantial when our membership base now sits at over 1700.
What is it that you can do then to grow your business? Is there a model for growth?
There is almost no right or wrong answer – merely considerations or variables. Every business is different; every director, owner or general manager will have ideas about what works. Every locality will be different. Your prospective customer base may differ to that of a regional ‘competitor’.
Your approach, therefore, will dictate your rate of growth and how your business grows.
One piece of advice is that you do what we as human beings do – adapt!
We’re in the 21st century… We’re in a social age… Time to use modern marketing to get new business.
Therefore, the College of Will Writing will be launching a remodelled course: ‘Modern Day Marketing and Sales’. There will only be 4 dates released this year with only 14 spaces on each course. The course will be held in Lincoln from 10.00am-4.00pm and will be £98.50 for members/£175 non-members.
16th April
18th June
22nd September
19th November
This course will contain some of the content from the Social Media Workshop, but will additionally factor in the sales process, proven industry marketing theory and other ways to get new business. You will be guaranteed to go away having learnt something new. We also guarantee to provide you with considerations that, when applied to your business, will focus your approach towards growth and improvement.
