A wide-range group shot of the Smith & Co team

Smith & Co incorporates Adept Legal to strengthen Suffolk presence

Female-led law firm Smith & Co has strengthened its presence across Suffolk with the incorporation of Adept Legal, bringing the two teams together to enhance legal services across the region.

Adept Legal will now fall under the Smith & Co Solicitors banner to boost its private client and conveyancing offering.

The firm now boasts a team of 24, 90% of whom are women, with an age group spanning five decades. Leadership is committed to supported long-term development within the legal profession, reflected in the range of experience of the team, which includes expert solicitors with decades of experience to paralegals and apprentice solicitors.

Vicky Hosking is managing partner at Smith & Co Solicitors. She said:

“We are thrilled to be expanding our team and our presence across the region. This is a really positive step for our firm and, most importantly, for our clients.

“Adept Legal brings with it a highly respected team with deep local knowledge and experience.

“By bringing our teams together, we’re strengthening our skills base, expanding our reach across Suffolk and ensuring clients continue to receive straightforward, supportive legal advice from people they know and trust.”

The expansion reinforces Smith & Co’s commitment to accessible, high-quality legal support rooted in local communities, Hosking added.

“Adept Legal has a long-established presence in Haverhill, where its team is well known among local residents, developers and estate agents. Clients will continue to receive the same trusted service, now backed by the wider resources, knowledge and support of Smith & Co Solicitors.”

Smith & Co Solicitors is actively involved in the local community, supporting initiatives such as the Memory Lane Café dementia support group in Ipswich, offering local legal clinics, sponsoring community events including the Ipswich Book Festival, and working closely with the University of Suffolk to offer work experience opportunities to law students.
