Digital storage and legacy planning app launches as 93% say they are ‘drowning’ in life admin

A new digital platform designed to help with life administration tasks has launched, enabling users to upload, organise, store and share everything from wills and insurance policies to household bills and passwords on one platform.

SafeKeep is designed to tackle the issue of managing life admin, 93% of whom in a poll of 2,000 UK adults aged 18+ said felt they were ‘drowning’ in life admin. Just 7% of respondents said they felt they were ‘on top’ of their paperwork; with SafeKeep suggesting it could be costing people hundreds of pounds in missed renewal dates, and unclaimed financial assets. By SafeKeep’s estimates, a ‘disorganised’ adult loses an estimated £300 a year in avoidable costs – £10.5 billion across the UK.

“So many of us have important documents scattered across drawers, email inboxes and filing cabinets. In a crisis, or even just when we need something quickly, that creates stress and wasted time, not to mention cost implications.

said Co-founder and Managing Director Andrew Byres.

“SafeKeep is a smart digital filing cabinet – secure, easy to use, and designed to give you and your loved ones confidence that everything is organised and accessible when it matters most. What’s more, it’s not just about documents – it’s about creating a legacy. Messages, memories, guidance – the things people want their loved ones to have when they’re no longer here. That’s what makes SafeKeep truly different.”

The software, which is available as an app, has been created by a team of entrepreneurs with backgrounds in business, technology, finance and communications, and has been designed with estate and legacy planning in mind they say. Alongside uploading documents and digitally filing them appropriately, the app enables shared access for family and advisers with built in notifications for renewals and policy expirations; using elements of AI to extract information from documents and emails to set up auto-reminders.

“SafeKeep is more than just storage – it’s a tool for peace of mind. We want to empower people to take control of their life admin, reduce anxiety, and make sure their families aren’t left struggling to find critical information in the future.”

concluded Co-founder and Chief Product Officer Jacob Dilley,
