Deputy and Attorney latest guidance during Covid-19 Outbreak

The Office of Public Guardian (OPG) provides an up to date guidance for all Deputies and Attorneys to continue to act in the best interests of the client or donor during the outbreak.

As the Prime Minister announced a National Lockdown on 4th January, OPG have updated information for those individuals who are in deputy and attorney roles. The updates apply to England and Wales but there is specific guidance for Wales too.

During the pandemic, the role and responsibilities of a deputy or attorney remain the same. However, those roles must adhere and follow government guidance on social distancing and self-isolation, and observe National Lockdown rules.
