Event Details

A series of speakers will present at a legacy collaboration event hosted at Winchester Cathedral on 24th April 2024. ‘Collaboration in philanthropy – Working together in the legacy sector’ is aimed at increasing understanding between charity beneficiaries and the legal sector; improving key relationships, finding efficient and effective ways of working together and hearing more about regulatory and governance requirements to maintain competence and legal knowledge.

Speakers on the day include Gill Steel, Matthew Lagden (CEO Institute of Legacy Management) Thomas Dumont KC (Radcliffe Chambers) and Zoë Seenan (Director of Development, Winchester Cathedral). Tickets are available now with the Cathedral offering a free day pass (valid for 24 April) to all delegates who register by 31 March.

  • 9:40am – 10:10am: Current developments in the areas of Wills & Probate.

  • 10:10am – 10:40am: Working collaboratively to help make the probate sector function more effectively Supporting and promoting charity legacy giving.

  • 10:40am – 11:00am: The importance of legacy income for charity and why collaboration is crucial.
